Port Maria Tax Office reopens

KINGSTON, Jamaica - The Port Maria Tax Office, in St Mary re-opened for business today at 10:00am following repairs and clean-up activities after recent flood rains in the area.
The tax authority says it has made every effort to ensure that the operations of the office were restored to normality to facilitate payroll payments due today.
Clean-up activities and damage assessments have now been completed, which has resulted in the office being reopened for normal business, the Tax Office said in a release.
The public is also being advised that the filing and payment of major tax types may be done online via the Jamaica Tax Portal located onwebsite at www.jamaicatax.gov.jm.
