Power cuts in St James, Westmoreland on the weekend

ST JAMES, Jamaica — The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) says that there will be service disruptions in Westmoreland and St James over the coming weekend.

According to JPS, the scheduled power outages are necessary as the company “works to upgrade the power delivery network in the areas.”

Areas to be affected in Westmoreland, on Saturday, November 17, between the hours of 12:00 am – 7:00 am include: Sav-la-Mar, Petersfield, Darliston, Ramble, Bethel Town and surrounding areas.

Areas to be affected in St James, on Sunday, November 18, between the hours of 8:00 am – 6:00 pm include: Bogue Hill Drive, Bogue Heights, Boulevard, Lagoon Drive, Julie Crescent and Malcolm Drive.

Customers on the Bogue Industrial Estate will also be affected from 8:00 am – 9:00 am and 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm, JPS said.
