Pregnant woman, spouse among 4 killed in St James

ST JAMES, Jamaica — A pregnant woman and her spouse were shot and killed in one of two double murders in St James last night.
Chantal Davis, who was nine months pregnant, and her spouse, Easton Chambers, were shot dead by men who fired upon a jerk centre located at Maroon Town in the parish.
The incident happened about 9:30 pm.
Not far away, 74-year-old Alvin Reid and 36-year-old Ashmarie Plummer were shot and killed by two men at a shop where they had gathered with several people.
This incident occurred just two hours before the Maroon Town murders.
It is not known if the two incidents are connected.
Investigations are underway.
