Repair work on Redemption Market to be completed in December

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Repairs to the Redemption Market in Downtown Kingston is expected to be completed by December.
The renovations, which began last month, will cost $44.5 million and is funded by the United States Agency for International Development and the Urban Development Corporation.
More than 120 vendors will benefit from the facilities which should re-open in time for Christmas.
The market was previously being used for paid storage by some vendors, who will be allotted spaces.
