Schoolboy Football Season Kicks off on Saturday

A new year brings new sponsorships and excitement as the 2018 InterSecondary Schools Sports Association (ISSA) Schoolboy football season kicks off on Saturday with 39 games across the island.

There will be seven games in the Digicel Manning Cup and 32 matches slated for the Wisynco daCosta Cup.

The opening ceremony will be held at the Catherine Hall in St James with defending all-island champion Jamaica College (JC) taking on Hydel High at 3:30 pm in Group F Digicel Manning Cup action before Rusea's High tackle Green Island High at 6:00 pm in the Wisynco daCosta Cup.

JC are big favourites to lift their sixth consecutive Manning Cup title but should be seriously by Kingston College and St George's College while Rusea's High, Cornwall College, Clarendon College and St Elizabeth Technical High School (STETHS) should be embroiled in a dog fight for the daCosta Cup title.
