Several school children injured as bus overturns

Mandeville, Manchester — The Manchester police are confirming that several school children mainly from the Holmwood Technical High School have been rushed to hospital after the bus in which they were passengers overturned this morning.
Reports are that the driver lost control of the vehicle, which overturned in a ditch at the foot of the Pen Hill main road close to the closed Kirkvine bauxite/alumina plant. The vehicle was on its way from Mandeville to Christiana.
"We can confirm that there were some injuries and children have been taken to the Percy Junor and Mandeville regional hospitals," said Superintendent Marlon Nesbeth, head of the Manchester police.
