KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica says that a tropical wave is currently west of Jamaica and may result in scattered showers and isolated thunderstorm mainly across central and western parishes.

However, another tropical wave is expected to move across Jamaica on Tuesday.
As a result, scattered showers and thunderstorms will be expected tomorrow across sections of most parishes. The Met Service said there would be morning showers across sections of northern and south-eastern parishes.

In the meantime, widely scattered afternoon showers and isolated thunderstorms are expected over other parishes.

A small craft warning remains in effect for offshore areas of the north and south coast due to strong winds and rough seas.

The Met Service said regionally, there is another tropical wave approaching the eastern Caribbean.
