St Ann security guard held with illegal firearm

ST ANN, Jamaica — The police have arrested and charged 31-year-old Christopher Bennett, a security guard of Roadside district in St Ann, with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Bennett was reportedly accosted and searched during a police operation in the area about 7:10 pm on Wednesday.

The lawmen said a .40 Taurus pistol and 51 assorted rounds of ammunition were found in his possession and he was arrested and subsequently charged.

His court date is being finalised.
