St Elizabeth farmer dies in crash

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — The Junction police are probing the circumstances surrounding the fatal crash that claimed the life of a man on the Cheapside main road in St Elizabeth on Wednesday.

Dead is 26-year-old Patrick Masters, farmer of Cheapside district, Junction, St Elizabeth.

Masters was reportedly riding a motorcycle along the roadway when it is said that he was struck by a motor truck, which lost control while negotiating a corner.

He was taken to hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. The truck driver was also injured during the collision.

Police said the accident took place about 8:30 pm.

Investigations continue.
