St James man killed in motorcycle hit and run

HANOVER, Jamaica — A construction worker of Granville, St James died as a result of injuries he sustained in a hit-and-run incident in Johnson Town, Hanover yesterday.

He is 39-year-old Gareth Arnold.

Reports from the Lucea police are that Arnold exited a motor car in the vicinity of a bridge in the area about 2:30 pm and was crossing the road when he was hit a by a motorcycle.

He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The motorcyclist did not stop.

Investigations continue.
