St Thomas man shot dead at ninth-night

ST THOMAS, Jamaica — Detectives assigned to the Yallahs Police Station in St Thomas are probing the shooting death of a man at a ninth-night in his community sometime between last night and this morning.

Dead is 24-year-old Ferron Bailey, a barber of Knightsville district, Yallahs in the parish.

Reports are that Bailey was among patrons at the ninth-night when gunfire was heard. After the shooting subsided Bailey was found suffering from gunshot wounds.

He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police are now appealing to anyone with information that can assist in their investigation to contact the Yallahs police at 876-982-5075, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.
