ST ANDREW, Jamaica — A taxi operator was last night shot dead at his home in Abberville Avenue, Patrick City in St Andrew.

Dead is 39-year-old Kerron Morner otherwise called 'Short Boss', who is known to ply the Duhaney Park to Half-Way-Tree route.

Reports from the Duhaney Park police are that about 7:30 pm, Morner was at home when it is alleged that he was approached by a man who brandished a firearm and shot him multiple times.

Residents summoned the police upon hearing the explosions. The responding officers said Morner was found with gunshot wounds to his upper body.

The scene was processed and his body removed to the morgue.

His murder follows that of fellow taxi driver Christopher Palmer, 44, who operated on the same route.

It is reported that two gunmen posing as passengers shot Palmer and pushed him from his vehicle along Dunrobin Avenue last week.

The killers escaped in his motorcar, which was later found on Maxfield Avenue in the parish.
