THREE members of the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF) – a sergeant, a corporal and a district constable – were arrested by investigators from the Anti-Corruption Branch (ACB) in connection with the alleged sale of motor vehicles seized by the police.

The three were arrested at various times over the last seven days, after it was brought to the attention of senior officers in the Hanover Police Division that the motor vehicles, held as evidence in various cases, had gone missing.

The matter was also reported to the ACB who immediately started an investigation. This investigation revealed that the seized motor vehicles and their engine and body parts were sold to various persons in the parish.

Following a series of interviews with his attorney, the district constable was released from police custody. A file is being prepared by the ACB for submission to the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for a ruling.
