Three Costa Ricans charged after cops find ganja in Pedro Plain

ST ELIZABETH, Jamaica — The police have arrested three Costa Ricans in connection with the seizure of six pounds of ganja in St Elizabeth on Friday.

Charged with possession of and dealing in ganja are 31-year-old Fernando Guido, fisherman of Queblo Nuevo, 31-year-old Emanuel Fernandes, taxi driver of Limon Sieneguita and 33-year-old Henry Baez, contractor of Limon Valle, all in Costa Rica.

The three were arrested after police reportedly found two parcels containing the ganja during an operation about 2:00 am at a premises in Ridge Pen district, Pedro Plain.

The drug has an estimated street value of $30,000.

A court date has not yet been set for the three men.
