Tropical Storm Gordon in Atlantic, no threat to Ja

 KINGSTON,Jamaica - At 4:00am the centre of Tropical Storm Gordon was located near Latitude 32.2 degrees north and Longitude 54.8 degrees west or 940 kilometres east of Bermuda, the Met Office says.

Tropical Storm Gordon is not a threat to Jamaica.

Gordon is moving toward the north northeast near 22 km/h. A gradual turn toward the northeast and then toward the east is forecast. This track will keep the cyclone moving over the open waters of the North Atlantic for the next two days.

Maximum sustained winds have increased to near 65 km/h, with higher gusts. Some strengthening is forecast during the next 48 hours and Gordon could become a Hurricane over the weekend.
