UNITED NATIONS (AP) — The UN peacekeeping chief says 90 of his colleagues have been killed this year, with 29 of them in "deliberate attacks".
Herve Ladsous notes in particular the deaths of 14 peacekeepers in the bloody Darfur region of Sudan. He calls that "totally unacceptable".

KINGSTON, Jamaica - A truck plunged into the Rio Cobre in the Bog Walk Gorge near Flat Bridge in St Catherine minutes after 9:00pm Wednesday, the Observer has learned.
Police have confirmed that three people supposed to be travelling in the vehicle have been reported missing.
The Jamaica Fire Brigade and a wrecking company were on the scene of the accident attempting to locate the missing people and retrieve the vehicle from the river shortly after the mishap. Details will be reported later.
