Two arrested for fraud in St James

Two men were arrested and charged in connection with missing motor vehicle documents from the Tax Administration Jamaica yesterday.

The St James arrests, based on conspiracy to defraud the Revenue, come on the heels of six others made for similar offences.

The Revenue Protection Division of the Finance ministry and the Jamaica Constabulary Force made the arrests.

The public is being reminded that registration and transfer of motor vehicles can only be done the island’s 29 tax offices.
