Two Jamaicans receive 2019 ANSA Caribbean Award for Excellence

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Anthony N Sabga Caribbean Awards for Excellence (ANSCAFE) today announced its 2019 laureates, which include two Jamaicans.

ANSCAFE recognises Caribbean people who have excelled in the areas of Arts & Letters, Entrepreneurship, Public & Civic Contributions and Science & Technology.

Kimala Bennett from Jamaica was selected to receive the ANSCAFE award in the entrepreneurship category.

While the other Jamaica, Professor Michael Taylor will receive the award in the Science & Technology category.

Danielle Dieffenthaller of Trinidad and Tobago was awarded for Arts and Letters, while Corey Lane from Barbados will receive the award for Public and Civic Contributions.

The awards are presented by the ANSA McAL Foundation — the philanthropic arm of the Trinidad-based ANSA McAL Group.

They will be presented at a ceremony scheduled for March 30, 2019 in Barbados.
