Two women murdered at St James nail salon

ST JAMES, Jamaica — Two women were shot dead at a nail salon in Catherine Hall, St James, yesterday.

Dead are nail technician and owner of the salon, 41-year-old Cleopatra Fletcher and her customer 52-year-old Dawnette Shettlesworth.

According to police reports, a gunman entered Fletcher's shop about 5:30 pm and opened fire hitting both women in their upper body.

They were rushed to the Cornwall Regional Hospital where they were pronounced dead.

A man, who was in the shop at the time, was also shot and is said to be battling for life.
