Tydal plans to create waves in 2013
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Singjay Tydal enjoyed his most satisfying period as an artiste in 2012, and plans to maintain that momentum this year.
“Looking back, 2012 was really good for me. I did a lot of work and put out a lot of songs, and that really helped me to connect with music fans," he said.
A turning point for Tydal came when he signed a recording and management contract with Florida businessman Jyorken Kennedy’s Master One Productions.
According to Tydal, the link has enhanced his career.
“Since I signed with Master One Productions I have learned a lot musically and otherwise. It’s really good to have a strong team to work with as an artiste; it allows me to be more focused creatively."
Tydal (Navardo Graham) hails from St Mary and first recorded in 2003. That song was Ghetto Youths Cry for Tiger Records.
He did several songs for various producers but broke through last year with the song Tell Dem Fi Farm. Next week, he drops his latest song, Inna Mi Arms, on Master One Productions' Cool Shade rhythm.
Tydal performs tonight on Rebel Salute at Richmond Estate in St Ann.
