ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — The police have now recaptured three of the six prisoners, who escaped from lock-up at the Linstead Police Station in St Catherine on Wednesday.

The third man — 28-year-old Ezroy Cohen of Banbury, Linstead, who was charged with burglary and rape — was held yesterday while attempting to board a taxi in the Linstead town centre about 11:50 pm, the police have reported.

Two other escapees — Alwayne Shakespeare and Daniel James — have also been recaptured.

Still on the run are:
1. Shane Wellington, 25, of Cassava Pond, Ewarton in St Catherine. He is charged with murder and frequents Ewarton and Breadnut Hill in St Ann.
3. Twenty-four-year-old Damion Daley of Banbury Linstead. He is charged with arson.
4. Anthony Jarrett, 29, of Mountain Pass, Linstead and Church Pen, Old Harbour both in St Catherine. He is also charged with murder.

The police are renewing their appeal for these men to surrender. Anyone with information on their whereabouts to call the Linstead police 985-2285, police 119 emergency number or the nearest police station.

People are also being reminded that it is a criminal offence to harbour a fugitive.
