Undetermined number of people killed in Hanover collision

HANOVER, Jamaica — An undetermined number of people are feared dead in a motor vehicle collision which occurred on the Orchard main road in Hopewell, Hanover last night.

The Lucea Fire Station received a call shortly after ten o'clock Sunday night regarding the collision involving a Toyota Corolla station wagon and a Toyota Corolla sedan.

District Officer assigned to the Lucea Fire Station, Karen Williams, said fire and paramedic teams from Lucea in Hanover and Montego Bay in St James responded to the crash with ambulances and fire trucks. Help was also sought from the Noel Holmes Hospital in Lucea.

The Sandy Bay police were also on location.
