KINGSTON, Jamaica - Member of Parliament Dary Vaz, businessman Bruce Bicknell and Senior Superintendent James Forbes return to court today.

Forbes and Bicknell have been charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice while Vaz is charged under Section 14 of the Corruption Prevention Act.

It’s alleged that Bicknell made comments that to police, who stopped him for a spot check, which led them to think they were being bribed.

On August 22, the court was told that Vaz promised promotions for the officers who charged Bicknell if they gave him a chance.

Superintendent Forbes is said to have facilitated meetings at his Oxford Road office in relation to the matter.

All three men are out on $250,000 bail and had surrendered their travel documents.
