KALININGRAD, Russia — Croatia led their Group D game against Nigeria at the Kaliningrad Stadium at halftime, courtesy of an own-goal conceded by the Super Eagles.

A Croatian corner found it's way into the Nigerian net in the 32nd minute after Mario Mandzukic’s diving header was deflected in by Oghenekaro Etebo.

Croatia were largely in control of the crucial match which would see the winner going atop the group after Argentina and Iceland drew 1-1 earlier in the day.
