Walker Cup: JC wins semi final 5:4 on penalties

Friday, October 26, 2012 | 3:41 PM

KINGSTON, Jamaica - XLCR lost a glorious opportunity to book a spot in the Walker Cup final when Colorado Murray muffed a penalty in the 91st minute of their match against Jamaica College Friday.

With the teams locked at nil-all the match went into extra time where XLCR again missed a sitter in the first session.

A player hit the crossbar a point blank range with the JC goalkeeper on the ground and out of play after parrying a cross.

The semi final went to the dreaded penalty kicks with JC taking the contest 5:4 and a berth in the final against either Kingston College or Wolmer’s.
