KINGSTON, Jamaica — Intermittent showers and mostly cloudy conditions are expected across northern parishes this morning while elsewhere is expected to be partly cloudy, the Meteorological Service of Jamaica has reported.

Come this afternoon, widely scattered showers and possible thunderstorms are expected mainly across sections of central and south western parishes, while lingering showers are expected across northern sections of the island tonight.

The Met Service says a stationary front is now west of Jamaica and is expected to further weaken and dissipate later today.

A weak high pressure ridge is then expected to briefly influence weather conditions on Wednesday before another frontal system enters the western Caribbean come Thursday.
