Weather forecast: High pressure ridge, Saharan dust to limit rain across the island

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A high pressure ridge along with increased Saharan dust is expected to limit rainfall across the island today through to Saturday.

The Meteorological (Met) Service of Jamaica said this morning is expected to be mainly sunny and hazy, while partly cloudy skies should be expected across most parishes this afternoon.

At the same time, isolated shower activity is expected across western parishes and windy conditions across southern coastal areas should also be expected in the afternoon.

Tonight should be fair.
