Weir joins Bolt and Blake in 200m final

KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaica’s newest sprint sensation Warren Weir finished second in 20.28 for a place in tomorrow’s 200m semi-final.

 Weir, 22, joins countrymen Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake.

Churandy Martina of The Netherlands won in 20.17 while Great Britain’s Christian Malcolm was third in 20.51.

Bahamian Michael Mathieu was disqualified after a false start.
