Welder murdered by gunmen posing as police officers

ST CATHERINE, Jamaica — A 39-year-old welder was shot dead by two men posing as police officers early this morning at his Bog Walk home in St Catherine.

Dead is Howard Campbell.

Reports from the police are that about 1:20 am, Campbell was at home with his family when they were awoken by men who said they were police officers.

The men kicked open the front door and shot Campbell multiple times.

The gunmen then escaped in awaiting motor vehicle. Campbell was rushed to hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The police are currently investigating.
