Westmoreland man killed after reporting to police

WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — A man who reported to the Frome Police Station in Westmoreland yesterday morning as part of his bail requirement was attacked by gunmen who fatally shot him on the Frome main road after he left the police compound.

Dead is 20-year-old Antonio Lawrence otherwise called 'Don', unemployed of Ricketts River in the parish.

Reports from the Frome police are that Lawrence went to report on his condition of bail about 8:30 am, when upon leaving the compound explosions were heard. He was found suffering from gunshot wounds on the roadway and was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.
