Woman, son charged after cops find gun under kitchen counter

ST ANN, Jamaica — The police have charged a St Ann woman and her son in connection with this morning’s seizure of a firearm and several rounds of ammunition in Mansfield Heights, St Ann.

They are 56-year-old sales clerk, Angella Edwards and her 30-year-old son Texroy Walker both of the said community.

The two were arrested after lawmen reportedly found one Carandai pistol and twelve 9mm rounds of ammunition under the kitchen counter in a house they searched during an operation in the area about 6:15 am.

Edwards and Walker were subsequently arrested and charged with illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.

Their court date will be announced later.

Investigations continue.
