KINGSTON, Jamaica - A woman who reportedly killed a man she accused of molesting her daughter was again remanded into custody when she appeared in the Corporate Area Resident Magistrate's Court Wednesday.

Teresa Hemmings was arrested and charged last month with the murder of 33-year-old Chegaskey Baugh, a security guard of Olympic Gardens in St Andrew, after she allegedly threw acid on him.

According to police report, on August 26, Hemmings confronted the now-deceased and accused him of sexually molesting her underage daughter.

It is further reported that Hemmings then threw a chemical substance on Baugh, causing severe burns to his body.

Baugh was rushed to hospital where he died while undergoing treatment.

When Hemmings last appeared in court she was remanded into custody by Magistrate Lorna Shelly Williams who rescheduled the matter for it to be handled by Magistrate Georgianna Fraser who had been dealing with the case.

Hemmings is to return to court on October 24.
