KINGSTON, Jamaica - Jamaica's Under-21 netballers suffered their second defeat in as many games at the hands of their Australian counterparts at the National Arena Saturday going down 51-25, and losing the three game series 2-0.
The Jamaicans scored first and held the Aussies early but it did not take long for the visitors to forge ahead going up 12-7 by the end of the first quarter.
The young Diamonds had more than doubled their score by the end of the second quarter, taking it 25-13.
The visitors continued to double the home team's quarterly score and were 40-20 at the end of the third quarter.
The young Sunshine Girls picked up the tempo somewhat in the final quarter though they were restricted to a mere five points.
Shantel Slater top scored for Jamaica with 15 goals from 29 attempts while Krishna Brice and Cody Lange had 16 each for the visitors.
In Friday's opener of the series the Jamaicans were crushed 60-31.
The Sunshine Girls will get an opportunity to take a consolation win in today's final match.
