Young male student killed in vehicular collision

KINGSTON, Jamaica — A 17-year-old male student of Mile End in the Ocho Rios area of St Ann died early this morning as a result of a motor vehicle collision.

OBSERVER ONLINE understands that the young lady was a passenger in a motor vehicle which was travelling from St Ann's Bay to Ocho Rios. On reaching the area on the roadway called Pearly Beach, the driver reportedly lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a culvert.

Both the driver and the student were injured and were rushed to the hospital by a motorist who was passing by. The young student died while being treated, however, the driver of the motor vehicle is still receiving treatment.
