31-y-o woman murdered in Kingston

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The police are probing the murder of a 31-year-old woman who was shot on Collie Smith Drive in Kingston on Saturday night.

According to the lawmen, Mary-Ann Dorie, a resident of Tivoli Gardens who was employed as a bearer at a financial institution, was in a motor car awaiting a friend who had gone to purchase soup when she was attacked by two men on a motorcycle.

The men opened gunfire hitting her then fled the scene. The incident occurred about 8:45 pm.

Dorie was taken to hospital where she died while undergoing treatment.
