KINGSTON, jamaica — The police are advising members of the public to expect delays while traversing Washington Boulevard this morning.

This, the lawmen said, is due to work being conducted by the National Water Commission (NWC) in the vicinity of Cooreville Gardens.

"As a result of the works, the westbound leg (towards St Catherine) of Washington Boulevard has been closed to vehicular traffic. The eastbound lanes (towards Kingston) have been converted to two way. This has resulted in a pile-up of traffic on Mandela Highway," the police explained.

Motorists are being advised to exercise patience and obey all instructions of the police, who have been deployed to manage the situation.
