KINGSTON, Jamaica — Motorists are being advised to approach the intersection of Tom Cringle Drive and Mandela Highway with caution, as traffic lights in the vicinity are currently down.

The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) a short while ago said one of its poles near the Nestle building in Ferry Pen, which is located just off Mandela Highway, has been broken by roadwork personnel.

This, JPS said, has resulted in a power outage from the Hydel Group of Schools and surrounding areas to the JPS Duhaney Substation.

The power company said it expects to replace the damaged pole by about 7:00 pm today.
