KINGSTON, Jamaica — The Jamaica Public Service (JPS) says the light pole, which was broken by roadwork crew along Constant Spring Road in St Andrew this afternoon, has been removed.

The fallen pole had blocked the roadway, resulting in restricted access to areas north of the Constant Spring Police Station and a disruption in power supply in a section of Cassava Piece.

Third party operators who make use of the JPS pole were also affected.

The pole, along with associated wires and third party cables from telecommunications and cable wiring was removed from the roadway about 5:30 pm, JPS said in an update a short while ago.
