OBSERVER ONLINE SALUTES KALIESE SPENCER

The chains are off, as Kaliese Spencer won her first ever medal at a World Championship event when on Saturday she finished second to take the silver medal in the 400 metres at the Woirld Indoor Championship taking place in Sopot, Poland. Spencer was clocked in a time of 51.54 seconds. The winner was Francena McCorory of the United States. Another Jamaican Patricia Hall finished fifth in the same event.
