KINGSTON, Jamaica - Senior Superintendent of Police in charge of the Kingston Western Police Division, Steve McGregor has just informed OBSERVER ONLINE that the police have captured one of the suspects who escaped after a 9mm pistol and 12 rounds of ammunition were seized on Wednesday last,.

"The two we have in custody are juveniles who were in the process of committing a robbery when one was caught due to the work of the police and the gun and ammunition seized. Of course they will be questioned and processed and an appropriate place found for them," SSP McGregor told OBSERVER ONLINE.

The Divisional Commander also voiced her concerns about the number of juveniles (boys) who are committing crimes in the Division.

"I have to be concerned. It is a growing trend and one which we are tracking and trying to negate through the involvement of our Community Safety unit and by special interventions in the various communities," the SSP said.
