Holmwood lead girls 4x400m

ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Defending champions Holmwood Technical had the fastest time in this morning's qualifying heats of the high school girls 4x400m at the 42nd Gibson/McCook Relays at the national stadium.

Holmwood Technical won their heat in 3 minutes 40.52 seconds, well ahead of the next best team Hydel who won their heat in 3:42.45 seconds with Vere Technical High, the record holders, next fastest with 3:43.00 seconds.

St Jago High ran 3:43.69 seconds while Petersfield who were second to Hydel had the sixth best time over all in 3:44.59 seconds followed by The Queens School- 3:34.58 seconds and St Andrew High- 3:45.87 seconds.
