Letters to the Editor
‘Kibber yuh mouth’, Carl Lewis
Monday, August 20, 2012
Dear Editor,
There comes a time when it is best for some people to close their mouth and be thought of as ignorant, than to open it and confirm that they are indeed so. Case in point: how dare Carl Lewis even suggest that Usain Bolt should be tested more for drugs? It seems that any athlete from any country – apart from America – that does well in the Olympics, has to be on some kind of high to come out on top.
Carl Lewis is the epitome of ignorance and would do well to keep his comments to himself. He would do well to remember that in 1988 he tested positive for stimulants and his excuse was that he had taken the drugs inadvertently. Seriously? Yes, we believe you Carl. Anyway, your days are over, mister. Usain Bolt is in your face and will be for quite some time to come, so get used to it. “Wi likkle but wi tallawah”.
I would advise Mr Lewis to go to Jamaica and eat some good Jamaican food and drink some real cornmeal porridge. Then and only then will he understand why the “Lightning Bolt” strikes so hard and hits so hot.
