Letters to the Editor

All hail the contractor general

Wednesday, February 02, 2011

Dear Editor,

I would like to take the opportunity to say that the contractor general is doing a wonderful job, and yes, you overstepped your boundaries in trying to criticise him. It is about time someone takes a stance. Both your newspaper and the Gleaner have a way of steering the populace to believe whatever you want, and to make angels out of harlots. You have your own agendas and so does Mr Christie. No one is perfect, but at least he calls a spade a spade, and you are wrong.

Jamaica would have been a far better place if we had more Greg Christies. We have become a nation of greedy, ill-advised morons, whose only intention is to suck the blood dry from our countrymen. We beat them, we enslave them, then we build mansions with high-priced security to shield us from their watery, bloodshot eyes. We drive through New Kingston with our noses up, and avoid downtown Kingston as if it was the birthplace of the plague. We are more comfortable buying imported food grown with all kinds of fertilisers, rather than buy from our own farmers that grow theirs with love and admiration.

Now if news organisations would get back to informing the people, that would be nice. While you are at it, promote the local industries instead of being absorbed in American culture. We are a nation of proud individuals, just that a small minority who hold power believe that they can screw us over.
