Be a winner in the race of life
Dear Editor,
At the London Olympics, our athletes ran and in many cases won – and we have been running right along with them: Bolt, Blake, Weir, Frater, Carter, Fraser-Pryce, Campbell-Brown, Simpson, Foster-Hylton, Walker, and others. What a joy it was for Jamaicans to celebrate along with them!
But we, along with our athletes, face a much bigger race – the race for everlasting life. We need to focus on winning the race for evelasting life, the only race that has multiple winners – so many winners in fact that the Bible in Revelations 7:9 says that no one was able to number them. As many as we want can be winners of this great race to life.
Let us all begin this race now and continue until the end. Jesus reminds us in Matthew 24:13: “He that endures to the end shall be saved.”
I invite all readers to join me in this endurance race where everyone can be a winner.
