This is an open letter to Mrs Sybil Hibbert.
I just stumbled across your series in the Sunday Observer - "Crimes that rocked the nation". I was so enthralled that I spent several hours searching the Jamaica Observer's internet archives for the full complement.
Your stories are gripping and sensational. Several of them take me back to the Jamaica of old and evoke acute nostalgia. Your style of writing is truly wonderful - it speaks to the high educational standards of the Jamaica of your youth.
Please, please, please, Mrs Hibbert, consider publishing a book with your stories. Not only would it be a bestseller, but it would also allow you to share your wealth of experiences with the next generation.
Please also write about Roy McGann, Lester Lloyd Coke, George Flash, Anthony Brown, Donald "Zeeks" Phipps, William "Burry Boy" Blake, Feather Mop, Aston "Bucky" Marshall and "Rankin Dread".
