Letters to the Editor

Happy to have LIME

Monday, October 29, 2012

Dear Editor,

After every storm there is indeed a calm. Now that Hurricane Sandy has passed, in the scurry to clean up whatever damage we have suffered and check on our family and friends, I must say LIME has once again proved very reliable.

On Wednesday when it was predicted that Sandy was to make landfall, I sang praises to the LIME network for their resilience during the hurricane. In fact, I am writing this letter of commendation via my smartphone which has 3G service up and running - in full swing.

Thanks to LIME I was able to get updates on other parts of the island via social networks as Sandy passed over the island. And now in the aftermath of the hurricane, I am contacting my family in rural Jamaica to check how they are doing.
