In response to your article in yesterday's Sunday Observer (October 6) I wish to advise that I had absolutely no final decision-making authority for the JLP/G2K 2011 advertising campaign.
As a matter of fact, I and other members of the hastily assembled advertising committee, and other party officials, voiced very serious concerns about the overall advertising programme.
It got so bad that the chair of the advertising team, Karl Samuda, out of sheer frustration, resigned from its day to day management in the middle of the election campaign.
In all, the JLP was terribly unprepared for the general election, and there were just too many people calling the shots, the result being chaos. I am a believer in collective responsibility, but ultimately the buck stops with the leader.
