Letters to the Editor

Thank you, Observer

Tuesday, August 07, 2012

Dear Editor,

I wish to express my sincere appreciation of the Jamaica Observer's support for the Nelson Mandela International Day campaign in Jamaica.

This was a successful day (July 18) in which the theme, "Take action, inspire change, and make everyday a Mandela Day" proved to be a day of doing something for the greater good.

I appreciate the time that you took from your busy schedule to meet with me. The publicity you gave to the event went a long way in encouraging Jamaicans to participate. I believe that your support has enabled the children of Jamaica to feel loved and cared for.

The South African High Commission appreciates this collaboration and looks forward to future Nelson Mandela International Days with the Observer as a valuable participant.
