Third party necessary
Thursday, September 02, 2010
Dear Editor,
A third party has a place in Jamaica in these times.
It is possible for a third political party to even win at the polls, provided that it has the proper funding and the right leader who can convince the electorate to vote for that party. The people of Jamaica are fed up with the Jamaica Labour Party and the People's National Party over the years, and what both of them have offered to the Jamaican people. So therefore a third party has a chance, providing there's the right climate.

Doesn't the NDM still exist? So Blaine's party would be a FOURTH party.

And fourth, and fifth, and sixth! As many as possible to provide choices to the people. We need change and we need it now. The revolution must begin.
There exists in our society many citizens of integrity and love for country who are capable managers. There are even some in the dominant parties, but the Party establishment is communistic in it's approach to loyalty.
These new parties must understand that much work must first be done to re-educate the masses. No quick-fix, it will take time.
