Letters to the Editor
Unsung hero
Friday, February 03, 2012
Dear Editor,
I have had the good fortune of having a great relationship with some of the finest gentlemen the world has produced. Eric Orlando Bell, Desmond Mair, Kenneth Barnes and now the late Alexander Barclay Ewart, to name a few.
They all had one thing in common - they were all outstanding sportsmen and were very successful in whatever field of endeavour they pursued.
I am still trying to come to grips with the sudden passing of Barclay Ewart, a more than unsung hero of Jamaica who should have been honoured over and over again for his contribution, not only for the many successful businesses he founded, but for the many lives he made a difference to. I am sure his soul will rest in peace.
